The Production
Manaslu in 2021 marked an important turning point for me. It was my first paid camera assignment on a major mountain expedition, bringing together years of climbing experience with my growing work behind the camera.
Working alongside Nims Dai and the expedition team, I documented the journey from base camp through the higher camps, capturing both stills and motion while moving as part of the climbing team. The project also included documenting the Manaslu clean-up campaign and the work taking place beyond the climb itself.
Until then, climbing and photography had largely developed alongside each other. Manaslu was where those two paths began to come together professionally, and it became an important step toward the high-altitude cinematography work I do today.

The work
Worked as a high-altitude cinematographer and photographer throughout the Manaslu expedition, documenting the team from base camp through the higher camps while climbing as part of the expedition.
Responsible for both motion and still photography in changing mountain conditions, carrying and operating camera equipment at altitude while balancing the demands of climbing and documenting the expedition.
I also documented the Manaslu clean-up campaign, capturing the work being done on the mountain alongside the expedition itself.
